What is Emotions First Weight Release Program ?

    The Emotions First Weight Release Program is an 8 week multi-modality program done in group sessions. 
In the program you will learn how to do the following:
* Clear the emotions that either caused the weight gain in the first place, kept the weight on and/or brought the weight back
* Let go of cravings and the emotions that drive you to eat when you are not physically hungry or eat more than what you physically need
* Change your thoughts and what you say about yourself to help you do it differently so you can let go of the weight
* Clear negative associations with exercise so you can feel motivated to exercise more
* ‘Tune-in and listen’ so that you can eat according to your body without deprivation, get the comfort you are after and have a healthy relationship with food.
* Let go of unhealthy patterns/habits so you feel more like doing those things that bring you the results you want.
* Navigate the journey of life to find the ‘happy you’ in each moment.

How does the Emotions First Weight Release Program Work ?

    

For many of us, the subconscious mind makes an association between food and comfort. When we eat when we are not physically hungry, it is our mind that is sending us to eat, not our body. Once the subconscious mind has a way of doing something, it does not look for another way and that way becomes the default – the automatic response. Then, when the mind recognizes that comfort is needed, 90% of our mind power (our subconscious mind) sends us to eat.
When we want to lose weight, we may try to use willpower to not eat when we are not physically hungry. But since willpower is housed within the conscious mind, which is only 10% of our mind power, that 10% is not strong enough to win over the 90% of our subconscious mind. So we find ourselves eating when we are not hungry and making poor food choices in order to get comfort. We may feel comfort while we are in the act of eating, but as soon as we are finished eating, we often feel guilty or beat ourselves up with some other emotion.

When you have and use tools to let go of the emotion that drives you to eat when you are not physically hungry, you are now empowered and can do it differently. You can more easily do the things that you need to do to become your ideal size and shape. The end result is you learn how to more easily flow with the journey of life. Because being your ideal size and shape is a journey of being and adjusting in each moment in life rather than an end goal. That is why diets do not tend to work because not only do diets focus on deprivation, which the mind does not like, they are focused on once you are there, you stay there. And most of us know that is not the case. It is a journey to help you create lasting change by taking care of your emotions through using your tools so that when you get the results you want, you also have the tools to make those results stay.

What are the benefits of learning how to work with the mind?

When we need comfort, whether we are stressed, bored or whatever emotion is driving us to eat when we are not physically hungry, the mind does not care how comfort is achieved. It is only interested in bringing balance to the mind/body system. When we learn tools to work with our mind, we can shift ourselves into those comfort states so that the subconscious mind does not have to go to the old default of ‘go eat’.
When you are in control of your mind and your emotions, you can more easily do the things you need to do to reach your ideal size and shape. AND you can use these same tools anytime you are experiencing a ‘not good feeling emotion’ to shift yourself into a ‘good feeling emotion’. It is in the place of ‘good feeling emotion’ that allows you to release weight more easily and effortlessly.  You can use these tools whether your mind is driving you to eat your comfort foods or you just feel bad. The result is a happier, more empowered you and a more satisfying life!
